Many people over the years have asked with which IT recruiters I have worked. There are numerous IT Recruiting companies in Vancouver, however the following 3 have successfully placed me in opportunities. For me it is the people of an IT recruiting firm that defines the company. It is very important to me to meet with the person and talk about the types of opportunities that I am most interested in pursuing. I will not deal with a recruiting company who asks for my resume and says that they will call me if they find a match. This does not help anyone.
TEKsystems:
I have had numerous opportunities with TEKsystems over my 14 years in IT and have worked with a number of their recruiters. Each and every one of the people at TEKsystems has been positive, energetic, straight forward and helpful. I currently work with Holly Gold, and if you are a database professional, she will likely be your Vancouver contact for TEKsystem.
Inteqna:
Inteqna is a new recruiting company for me to work with; however, Alison Oxton and Ed Chyzowski are two fantastic recruiters with whom I have had the pleasure of working with when they worked at another well known recruiting company. Ed focuses more on the Infrastructure IT Recruiting, and Alison looks after the database technologists. Alison has two things that make her an exceptional IT Recruiter. First, Alison has a strong background in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. Second, Alison goes the extra mile (sometimes a marathon) to make sure that the "fit" is right for both the company needing the services and the professional providing the service. Ed's email has the same format as Alison's, so you can figure it out ;)
Annex Group:
I have met numerous people at Annex Consulting Group, and they have been successful at placing me in a few opportunities. Annex offers more than just IT recruiting; they like to work with their clients and assemble teams and provide project management for projects too. Many of the people at Annex have worked in IT in Vancouver this boutique style Firm has an excellent reputation and has carved out a very niche in the Vancouver IT market. In addition to Sean, I have also worked and met with Stacey, J.C., Susan, and Michael.
