TechDays Canada 2011:
My Vancouver “Local Flavours” Presentation
I must admit, I am an IT Guy that loves to stand up and share. Most IT folks equate being forced to stands up and speak with being positioned in front of a firing squad. I suppose I used to feel this way – okay, I am certain that I did! A bit of toastmasters, some encouragement from people I respect, and a leap of faith got me started. Today, if I have a topic I am PASSionate about, I don’t have a problem standing up and speaking my mind, regardless of the size of the crowd. I have been knonw to speak at CodeCamps, VancouverTechFest, SQL Saturdays, DevTeach and TechDays Canada.
